Abstract

This study aims to understand the phenomenon of Corporate Social Responsibility in Mining companies in South Kalimantan based on the communities around the mine as a form of corporate social and environmental responsibility, the methodology used uses a qualitative approach, with a phenomenological approach, the findings of this study are expected to provide input for companies and governments in the implementation of CSR in South Kalimantan. The limit of this research is only focused on mining companies in South Kalimantan.

The implication of this research is practically providing development in the implementation of CSR funds in the community so that it is well targeted so that the community will prosper. The social implication of this research is that the community can feel the benefits of CSR funds optimally for the development of the local area and reduce social conflict. The novelty of this study is that it can provide an overview of the use of CSR funds that are in accordance with local wisdom so that it is well targeted and can develop local potential wisely, helping the community in the fields of economy, education and the surrounding environment.
