AUTOMATION OF BLOG MAKING FOR IMPROVEMENT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION RANK IN WEBOMETRIC

Abstract

The explosive growth of higher educations in the world encourages competition among
universities to improve the quality of teaching, research, governance, and others. In this
competitive era, university ranking become important to measure and to compare the
quality between universities. University ranking in Indonesia employs the type Ranking
Web of World Universities published by webometric which is based on university’s web.
Webometric measurement refers to web page content, which is reviewed by the amount of
the main web page (including subdomains), quality of content, the document that is open,
and the number of publications indexed in Scopus and Google scholar. This research
offers a solution to improve the ranking of universities in webometric by increasing the
value of impact or visibility. Automation blog for university academic community based
on the user profile. Feasibility and satisfaction have been made to capture the user
response to the system are made. Most respondents, 95%, giving a positive response to
the created blog.
