MODEL SYSTEM DETERMINING THE SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT PRIORITY BASED ON MULTI CRITERIA DECISION MAKING

Abstract

Generally, the method used by some colleges in providing scholarships to students is to set priorities grantee by calculating the total value of each of the criteria for assessment. This often causes problems, namely due to their dissatisfaction with the students of the view that it should establish priorities based on specific criteria in accordance with the characteristics of the purpose of the scholarship.

Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is a decision support method that works best alternative sets of a number of alternatives based on several criteria have been defined, such measures, rules or standards used in decision making. This method was developed to assist decision makers in making decisions on several alternative decisions to get an accurate and optimal decision.

This article describes the use of methods Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) in the
resolution of the case prioritization grantee, using the criteria of grade point average
(GPA), the average income per capita family, Results Performance Assessment Non
Academic /  Extracurricular  and  Assessment  Program  Proposal  Creativity  College
student. The case study conducted on campus STMIK Banjarbaru. The test results by
using an empirical approach to the 20 samples of the data showed that the MCDM
method has an accuracy of 85%.
