A DESIGN OF BASIC NEEDS STORAGE MONITORING TOOL THROUGH MICROCONTROLLER-BASED ANDROID

Abstract

A storage is a place, media or space for placing things. Storage box for daily needs such
as rice in the rice box and eggs in the refrigetor, both for keeping rice and eggs stay fresh
and save. The lack of existing storage box is when the users (storage owner) wants to
know the remaining stock of logistics, they should see directly to the box, while some
people do not stay at home. User needed a system that can be use to know the stock of
logistic from far away. This study used a smartphone as a tool to monitor usingwifi as
media transmitter from smartphone to embedded system.  This system using strain gauge
sensor to detect weight of rice and limit switch sensor to detect the number of eggs. Based
on system testing, this system can send an accurate data from 25 meters as maximal
distance.
