Pengaruh Posisi Cylinder Liner Terhadap Tingkat Keausan Crank Shaft Bore Pada Connecting Rod Engine 3500 Series Caterpillar
Abstract
Pada dieselengine terdapat komponen-komponen yang bekerja secara bersamaan dalam
suatu proses pembakaran. Komponen utama yang mendukung kerja tersebut
diantaranyaadalah engine block, cylinder head, crackshaft, fly wheel dan connecting rod.
Fungsi dari connecting rod adalah meneruskan gaya akibat tekanan hasil pembakaran dan
meneruskannya ke crankshaft, disamping itu secara bersamaan adalah mengubah gerakan
lurus menjadi gerakan putar. Untuk penelitian ini, perlu untuk menyelidiki dampak dari
pembebanan tersebut yang tentu berpengaruh terhadap tingkat keausan pada crankshaft
boreconnecting rod yang difokuskan pada engine dengan cylinder banyak dengandiesel
engine yang diaplikasikan pada generator listrik. Data keausan crackshaf bore yang diolah
adalah hasil pengukuran selama empat tahun pada diesel engine 3500 Series Caterpillar
dan kemudian dianalisa apakah ada pengaruh letak posisi connecting rod terhadap tingkat
keausan tiga titik pengkuran dengan statistik deskriptif dengan uji ANOVA Uji Tukey
HSD. Hasil dari penelitian adalah Besar tingkat keausan yang tinggi pada Crankshaft Bore
Connecting Rodadalah pada titik A dengan rerata keausan sebesar 0,000199074 Inchi dan
titik B 0,000205556 inchi.Keausan cranksaft bore connecting rod yang besar terjadi pada
dua posisi cylinder yaitu cylinder nomor 10 yaitu sebesar 0,003037 inc dan nomor 14
sebesar 0,003161 inc.
