Abstract

Attack of plant pests often cause damage ranging from mild intensity to puso. Prevention and control of rice stem borer moth, especially in the phase (imago) before laying will minimize the potential loss of yield that rice productivity increases. The first year has done is create a prototype trap pests of rice plants that will do the identification of stem borer.

In the second year of the research is built of monitoring and early warning system of pests of rice based on the number of pest populations in a location. Web-based system built, SMS Gateway, and Geographic Information System (GIS) integrated so as to facilitate access to information. The observed data is the number of pest populations are monitored and automatically sent wirelessly.

The results showed good accuracy of the data of pest numbers in the receiver module sent by the sender module. The system created to provide of pest populations in a location that is monitored so that it can develop an action plan for the control of these pests.
