A DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR SELECTION OF SMARTPHONE USING SIMPLE ADDITIVE WEIGHTING (SAW) METHOD

Abstract

This study aims to build a smartphone selection decision support system using a simple
method of web-based additive weighting (saw) with CodeIgniter and Bootstrap
framework. The criteria chosen in this method are core processor, clock processor,
internal memory, ram, camera, battery and price. With the preference value of
importance of each criterion starting from 1 = not important, 2 = less important, 3 =
important enough, 4 = important, and 5 = important. Method of research phase used is
by using waterfall method. As the name implies waterfall, then the stages in this model
arranged in storied. The results show that, display information can be run in web form
and can be used by visitors to find the best smartphone recommendations.
